As well as being responsible for the school finances, the appointed person will be working in a busy front office where there will be a need to undertake a range of reception, clerical and administrative duties. There is also the need for excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise and to remain calm under pressure.

The Aspire Academy Free School Trust is seeking to appoint a part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant for KS4

15 hours per week (to be worked on Wednesdays and Thursdays), term time only plus five INSET days.


Salary Range: TA grade 4, point 26-28 £22, 937 - £24, 472 pa (actual salary £7, 952 - £8, 484).

To support the learning of our Key Stage 4 (KS4) students who are on alternative programmes and who can co-ordinate our KS4 Nurture provision for those students who benefit from a smaller group setting.

The person appointed to this point will be expected to have:

Self-motivation and exceptionally well organised
Preferably has experience of working in a school environment

Main duties include:

To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in KS4
Helping with the delivery of, and also to deliver, English and Maths in either one-one or small group settings for those students for whom the normal timetable is not the best learning environment.
To regularly evaluate the children’s development and contribute to record keeping
To support the delivery of key elements of school provision
Supporting children with their learning and personal development
