Year 6 Teacher

Required from: From September 2017
NOR: 139 in main school, plus 20 place Nursery
Age Range: Primary, with onsite Nursery from 2 years

Are you looking for a challenge?
In September 2016 we became a Primary School. After a very successful first year, we are now looking to appoint a permanent teacher for class 6, predominantly Year 6 with some Year 5 pupils.
We are looking for a full time member of staff to complement our talented, committed and happy staff team. Ofsted rated our school ‘Good’ in June 2016 with many outstanding features. We hope to find an excellent teacher with a successful track record, some experience of Year 6, and with the drive and enthusiasm to continue to ‘Turn Potential into Success’!

Are you:
Able to deliver high quality lessons, consistently (aspiring to outstanding!)
Keen to raise standards and always looking to move forward
Energetic, organised and a team player
Focussed on learning and achieving outstanding attitude and effort from pupils
Willing and enthusiastic in your teaching
An excellent role model for children
Using ICT creatively in your teaching
Innovative, imaginative and inspiring to work with
Looking to take on a subject leader role

If so, come and work with us at Honeybourne Primary Academy! The rewards are good in our community and there is potential for a TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility Point) if you can offer Maths, English or Music as a specialist subject – although subjects are flexible within our team.

Our school is in the village of Honeybourne in a delightful rural setting. We converted to Academy Status in June 2013 and have enjoyed the next stage of our development as a Primary School. We are currently completing the re-design of our Curriculum and Assessment schemes. There is a lot of scope for someone to make their mark as an outstanding teacher and leader.

You will need a good sense of humour and be a very flexible member of our small staff team. Working in a Year 6 class, you will need to have excellent subject knowledge, use ICT well, be well organised and firm, but fun! We hope the post holder will be flexible to work across the Primary age range.

We can offer you a supportive environment with on-going CPD in a thriving, forward looking school. Applicants should state any experience they have, in teaching and any other work environment, their educational philosophy, what you could bring to the post and future aspirations.

Whilst we hope we will be able to appoint our new teacher to start in September 2017, we are willing to wait until the October half term break if it means we can employ someone who is already in a post.
Visits to the school are warmly invited and actively encouraged! Please telephone Mrs Cameron, School Secretary to make a suitable appointment. The Worcestershire County Council application forms will be used; you can access this on line or from the school.

Job share will be considered as long as there are sufficient suitable applicants.
